2. Write down the eight-digit code shown on the monitor.

3. On your smartphone, computer, or Mac, click the YouTube device activation link.

4. You will be prompted to enter a code. Go to a computer or mobile device and visit youtube.com/activate.

5. As it displayed on the Apple TV screen, enter the 8-digit activation code that you wrote down in step 2 into the device.

6. To approve the sign-in procedure for YouTube device activation, click "Allow Access."

7. And there you have it; your Apple TV is now activated.
